Chapter 2 · 2.7
Logging in via your own domain with /config
Don't know your server name? Then you can also go to the DirectAdmin login screen via your own domain name. Add /config after your domain name, for example:
www.yourdomain.com/config
You'll then automatically be redirected to the login screen of the server your package is on (https://servername:2222). There, you log in with your DA username and DA password, just like in Signing in directly on port 2222.
When does this work and when doesn't it?
- It works if your domain name points to your hosting package at WebOké. That's the case if your website runs with us.
- It doesn't work if your domain still points to another provider, for example during a transfer, or if your website is hosted elsewhere and only your email is with us. In that case, use My WebOké or the direct address.
- It sometimes doesn't work if your website itself intercepts all addresses, for example through its own redirect in .htaccess. In that case, you'll end up on a page of your own website. Here too, log in via My WebOké.
Tip: The address after the redirect (https://servername:2222) is the address to save as a bookmark. That way, you'll immediately know your server name too.
